When do I need a custom app instead of an App Store app?
When an existing app does not fit your process, charges for features you do not use, or cannot connect to your own systems. A custom app does exactly what your business needs and nothing more.
What is the difference between a public and a private app?
A private (custom) app is built for one store. A public app is listed on the Shopify App Store and can be installed by any merchant. I build both.
